Brian Spallina
Team 91 Founder and Co-Owner
The founder of Team 91 Lacrosse, Brian Spallina is a 2000 graduate of Hofstra, where he was a two-time All-American, he holds the Major League Lacrosse record for most championships won by a single player. Seven titles to his name! He is a member of the Long Island Metro Lacrosse Foundation. The 70th overall selection in the inaugural MLL Collegiate Draft, Spallina played professionally for the Long Island Lizards, Philadelphia Barrage and Chesapeake Bayhawks.
Collegiate standout at Hofstra University (1997–2000) — two-time USILA All-America selection and star long-stick midfielder; helped the Pride to three America East titles and three NCAA Tournament appearances.
Exceptional NCAA career — played in 57 games with 17 goals, 10 assists, 27 points and 208 ground balls; competed in the North-South All-Star Game following his senior season.
Professional lacrosse legend — seven-time Major League Lacrosse (MLL) champion with Long Island Lizards, Philadelphia Barrage, and Chesapeake Bayhawks; two-time MLL All-Star.
Record-setting MLL career — ranks third all-time in games played and holds the MLL’s all-time penalty minutes mark; 187 career pro ground balls.
Honors & post-playing career — inducted into the Professional Lacrosse Hall of Fame (2023) and the Hofstra Athletics Hall of Fame (2024); founder of Team 91 Lacrosse youth organization.
