Morgan O’Connor
Recruiting Director and Coach
Morgan Molinari O’Connor is currently a teacher and assistant varsity lacrosse coach at Schreiber High School in Port Washington. She is the former lacrosse coach and Director of Athletics at Sacred Heart Academy. She served as the Director of Athletics, Athletic Advisor and Camps Director for 16 years. As the Director of Athletics she oversaw 24 teams, 60 coaches and over 500 student-athletes. She served as the NSCHSGAAC Chairwomen of the Soccer and Lacrosse leagues.
O’Connor has been involved in athletics her entire life. She attended Sacred Heart Academy where she participated in Swimming, Basketball and Lacrosse. Upon graduating she attended the University of Notre Dame. At Notre Dame she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and played varsity lacrosse. As a member of Notre Dame Women’s Lacrosse team she helped her team earn their first trip to the NCAA elite eight and final four. She holds a Masters of Science in Secondary Education from Molloy University and is currently pursuing a special education certification.
Since graduating from Notre Dame, O’Connor has been involved in the sport of lacrosse as a coach on numerous levels: LISGYLL, PAL, high school, club, regional and national teams. She served as the varsity coach at Sacred Heart Academy for 14 years and is involved with numerous professional organizations. She currently serves as the head coach of Team 91 Stars 2032, Team 91 2036 Nassau Expansion and is a Recruiting Coordinator for Team 91 Girls Lacrosse.
She serves on the Board of Directors of the Long Island Metro Foundation and the Port Washington Youth Activities League where she chairs several committees.
At Sacred Heart O’Connor built the lacrosse program to become a US Lacrosse top 20 nationally ranked program. In her 14 year coaching career, O’Connor coached 85 players who moved on to play collegiate lacrosse, 16 All-Americans, 40 Academic All-Americans, 7 Newsday All-Long Island players and 2 Jackie Pitts Award winners.
O’Connor grew up in Manhasset, NY with her 5 siblings who all played Division 1 lacrosse respectively at: UMass, Duke, Georgetown, Harvard and Bucknell. She is married to Bobby O’Connor and they have three daughters, Ella, Grace and Sophie. They live in Port Washington, NY.
