Sarah Oliphant Crennan is a graduate of Georgetown University and a proud alumna of the Georgetown Women’s Lacrosse program. Sarah made her mark on the field as a standout lacrosse player at
Annapolis High School and then collegiately for the Georgetown Hoyas. After winning 2 state championships with Annapolis, Sarah went on to compete in two Final Fours and a National Championship with the Hoyas. A quick, skilled, and strategic attacker, she was known for her ability to finish and distribute with equal precision—an on-field leader who earned IWCLA Second Team All-American and All-BIG EAST First Team honors in 2004. Over her collegiate career, she ranked among Georgetown’s all-time leaders in points, assists, and goals, consistently recognized for her field vision and leadership. She captained the 2005 team and was honored with the Kim Simon’s Coaches Award for Leadership & Coachability.

Following her collegiate career, Sarah stayed involved in the game of lacrosse for ten years as an on-air analyst for NCAA women’s lacrosse and a sideline reporter for NCAA men’s lacrosse. Sarah brought her deep knowledge of the game to national networks including ESPN, CBS Sports, and NCAA, ultimately acting as analyst for the 2011 National Championship. Sarah has been a leader in sports media and entertainment for more than 15 years, shaping how fans experience the games, teams, and athletes they love. She most recently served as Vice President of DTC Content at the NBA, where she joined the league to build the content strategy and team supporting the 2022 relaunch of the NBA’s direct-to-consumer products.

Today, Sarah’s excited to bring her love of the game to the next generation as a youth lacrosse coach on Long Island, where she helps young athletes develop their skills, confidence, and understanding of the sport. Her approach to coaching mirrors her philosophy in media leadership: build great teams, encourage creativity, and inspire people to reach their full potential all while discovering the love of the game.
